Icecap is a collaborative organization, and welcomes colleagues who wish to collaborate with each other in an ethical manner, and in furtherance of the aims and objectives of Icecap. Membership of Icecap is open to anyone specified in the constittution and articles of association specified as being eligible. Membership dues are reviewed annually or more often by the executive committee, and ratified by the membership. They must be paid promptly. Icecap reserves the right to remove members from the membership list, and to inform other interested bodies of their removal, if: 1. membership dues are not paid in a reasonable time 2. the member is found, according to the disciplinary procedures of Icecap, to have breached Icecap's ethical codes 3. a member has been struck off by another recognized practitioner organization for a breach of professional ethics 4. a disciplinary committee of Icecap finds that a member's conduct has brought disrepute to Icecap or to the professions of psychotherapy or counselling 5. the executive committee finds that a member is consistently and regularly opposed to the aims and objectives of Icecap 6. a member has provided false information on registering with Icecap The webmaster may block a registered user from the site if the user: 1. is found to have contravened the regulations that are from time to time published about the site 2. publishes defamatory, pornographic, racist, or other material likely to bring the site into disrepute 3. publishes material in breach of the intellectual property laws operating in the UK or the USA 4. monopolizes the chat room or discussion forum, posts angry, critical, or seductive messages, or in any other way interferes with the free use of the chat room and the discussion forum for free communication between members on matters that are of relevance and interest to Icecap 5. the webmaster will draw the attention of the disciplinary committee to the banning of the member for them to consider whether or not further discplinary action should be taken
